Monstera
This plant is big, bold, and beautiful. Smooth, heart-shaped leaves naturally develop holes, and split along lateral veins as they mature, resulting in the nickname ‘swiss cheese plants’. The unusual leaves perch on long, upright stalks, and a mature plant can grow to be over 3 metres tall. Monstera gives an exuberant jungle vibe to your home or office.

WATER Drench thoroughly, then let the top 5 centimeters dry out before rewatering. |
LIGHT They tolerate low light, but prefer bright, indirect light. An east-facing window is ideal. Rotate weekly for even growth. |
TEMPERATURE 16-30 degrees Celsius |
HUMIDITY Moderate – spray occasionally with water or put a pebble tray under it to generate a more humid environment. |
TOXICITY Mildly toxic to humans and animals if consumed. |
FERTILIZER Feed every month in the spring and summer with an all purpose fertilizer. Apply to damp soil so you don't burn the roots. |
